The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games) is the trilogy and the name of the first book of fiction that many see as a juvenile, despite the psychological burden that may even imply that it should qualify as an adult. Its author is the great Suzanne Collins, who uses a serene pace of writing easy to read. I can assure you hooked from the first chapter.
When I heard the argument of the book, I sensed immediately that I was very familiar. It took me a while to realize why she thought. Those who read the following paragraphs will notice some similarities with Battle Royale, Scape 2000, Turkey Shoot, The Lottery and The Long Walk. Indeed, it seems that the idea of Hunger Games combines many elements from earlier, but in turn creates a background and history itself, and of course, intriguing and surprising.
The novel takes place in the nation of Panem, the current heir to North America after it succumbed under total destruction caused by ... the 3rd World War?.
Panem currently consists of the Capitol and 12 districts. The Capitol is the luxurious capital oppresses the remaining districts, in descending order each poorer than the previous one. Each district corresponds to a different and exclusive production (electronics, cereal, art, charcoal ...) leading to the Capitol. But this has not always been so. In the past there were 13 districts, but after the rebellion started by the 13th district 74 years ago, the Capitol destroyed the 13th district as a show of power and intimidation, and in turn, introduced the Hunger Games, annual celebration highlights the control and abuse, once again, the Capitol to the different districts.
The purpose of The Hunger Games is to oppress the remaining 12 districts to set an example and does not happen again a popular uprising.
Each year they choose a boy and a girl from each district, aged between 12 and 18. Here are forced to participate in the televised event where participants, or taxes, must fight to death in a controlled environment. The winner, who manage to survive.
The protagonist of the story is the young Katniss Everda, 16, a resident of District 12, who volunteer to participate, relieving the place of her younger sister Prim, 12.
The other tax district Mellark Peet 12 is a huge lad son of bakers in the district.
The 2 are taken to the capital, being exhibited publicly before all the inhabitants of the Capitol as pawns in a brutal and bloody game. They know other tributes, each with its techniques and tactics to win. But Katniss has a secret weapon: an exper goalkeeper. His skill with the bow has improved over the years, since her father taught her to hunt in the forest district. When he died in a landslide in the coal mines, he found a new hunting partner, who ended up teaching the tricks and secrets of hunting: Gale.
But during that time declares his love for Peet Katniss, which plunges her into a state of aversion at the thought that Peete just trying to gain their trust to give you a backstabbing. Nothing could be further from the truth. Peet is really in love with her.
During the Games there is a change of rules: Two tributes in the same district can win The Hunger Games as a couple, what just collecting taxes at 2 District 12 and achieved that Katniss begins to have serious doubts about his feelings toward Peet and to Gale, though never informs anyone. They stay together and play the trump card of "unhappy love", which gives them the support of the hearing on Capitol Hill.
However, the new rule has been a total deception to make the couple met. The rules allow only one winner.
This brief outline may seem TOO typical, but I assure you that if you read it do not disappoint, and you can not stop reading. Many characters, many situations, many reflections. A reading that feeds your mind.
Besides, the street is the second part of the trilogy: "In Flames", which write and later analysis. "What are you waiting to plunge into the mysteries and adventures of Panem?!
Summary XV Salón del Manga de Barcelona

What to say except that was the worst Salón del Manga de Barcelona I have attended. 
Talking on the show floor, it was noted that the crisis had arrived and had cut deep between organizers, vendors. That yes, the surge of geeks that the place seemed unsinkable not have diminished one iota.
For starters, there were fewer booths than usual. The products on sale could not be said that they were entirely new, the same last year, but nothing competitive prices. Even merchants who sold counterfeit figures, although that is always, but this year seemed more.
I did not forget that this year, against all odds, the representations in the cultural center Barradas were never performed (no Y_Y theater), and concerts and performances of the sports were very scarce and some unfortunate. Inscluso I would talk about some Tongo en .. cof ... cof ... cof cof Para Para ...
And as for the quality and quantity of cosplay and other ... personally noticed less than usual.
So, if you went this year for the first time the hall: I feel for you mate. I hope you have not been disappointed.
If you're a regular: I have nothing to say. You know by now that you have spent money for nothing xD
And it's true, counting what I spent (and that hardly buy anything) in 5 days, and discovered a few days after the flight offers to AirFrance Japan, next year better reserve money, and now my trip to Japan! xDDD
And finally, my own personal misfortunes, not less important but perhaps more striking. I'll try to be in chronological order, and if I forget something I'll be adding later:
- We started badly when to buy return tickets to Tarrega, the smart ticket seller, even though we told Barcelona-Tarrega, gave us tickets to Lleida, and obviously, we had to pay extra ... because we did not realize.
- To buy tickets in the Hall itself, however much they have your youth card picture, the girl will follow you asking the DNI. Because of him I was a speck of losing it. (Trivia)
- For a figure that meeting resin (a 'Eight and a half lines' of first4figures), I buy it at bargain price, and it is broken.
- I searched like crazy Chi Volume 1, Sweet Home, but there was no copy in whole class any day. That yes, the number 2 was everywhere.
- We decided to eat in the cafeteria / restaurant room, and I ask a Kakigori ... but do not have.
- After loading with Mr. tripod all the way, when I decide to remove it to start taking pictures, it is a missing piece that makes it completely useless. (Note to self: do not leave things to my father)
- Luck that we have the camcorder to record competitions, exhibitions, theater performances (ahem ¬ ¬) ... unfortunately for us, there were not enough vírgentes DVDs. Someone got the wrong box ... so the end could save about 1 hour.
- I was to call some friends to kill to get one day ... but my phone was blocked with the PUK. Thank god I am from Simyo, and a friendly guy Nakoko let me use your Internet connection. However I managed to restore my phone service the day after the day of the KDD ...
- The first World Cosplay Summit we see the whole entire ... and worst of all. We did not go to normal Cosplay contest, which is the people then said it was OK.
- I bought one of the volumes that made me more enthusiasm ... and lost.
- In the competition for the trip to Japan, the prize came to the girl who was sitting to our left. (Congratulations to her. It is not envy, it's just anecdote)
- I did not stay long enough in the BloggerCon, for as I later discovered, can be seen and chatted with Stif
- The camera of my mother that I lent to my girlfriend ... was stolen on the subway exit just when we went to the bus station. To make matters worse, my girlfriend bought a SD memory 4gigas exclusively for the Hall and this chamber. Money lost. Verdict? In addition to the tripod, this year we have only a handful of photographs of many that could have had. (Actually there was not much to photograph something interesting ...)
- On the bus we took back to Tárrega, do not know where that came a current freeze in addition to not letting me sleep a little quiet, made me constipated.
I am a wretch, I know. Besides I'm sure I've left many things, but we're going to do ...
For my part, I do not know if next year will go to the Hall. The cost saving and investing in a ticket to Japan was serious;)
Origin of the name "El Reno Renardo"

What name is that of El Reno Renardo? Surely we have heard all their songs have ever thought. Though surely for a short time, because the name is funny and seems common in a few minutes.
But what is the origin of the name? Nothing more, nothing less than "The Simpsons, as you can guess the song with the same name, to recognize the voices of Homer and Bart:
And now is when I'm sure no one will remember the chapter it belongs to the phrase of yore: 'El Reno Renardo meadilla has thrown a', and all others.

Windows always Windows

And to complete the entry the other day, now looking at the issue of Windows 7 from a more technical standpoint, rescued the following text / analysis / usr / weblog.
Some people praised Windows 7, and still others that put it up to other operating systems on features that are not, even remotely.
But I guess after to sell products that bad of a long family composed 'the Windows', especially his last 'great success' (Vista), in comparison, it is impossible to make things worse, and any improvement simple and seems a marvel.
The stark reality is that Windows 7 is still dragging basic design mistakes of the past. Mistakes, some who should not have been repeated, since according to Microsoft's own words, Windows 7 would make a revolution ever. All lies. For comment:

Windows 7 is like an ex-girlfriend

I've had my first experiences with Windows 7, and I must say that I am not convinced, but not want to detract from this new OS. 'At least it's better than Vista' ... but I will prefer to continue using Linux and Mac OS.
The following text has been collected from Geek World (no, my category is not a copy of your name), and I felt it appropriate to share with you.
So what is all this? At that while I downloaded the RC of Windows 7 was bored and looking I found this "analysis" of the new Microsoft OS, which also funny, I have found successful.
Lean in the bay area:
The release of Windows 7 is like that old ex-girlfriend who suddenly appears at your door wanting to be together that you should return. He has done a few odd jobs, apparently: weight reduction, a breast augmentation and rhinoplasty, so that looks so much like your current girlfriend as is medically possible.

El Reno Renardo

Many of my readers will be rockers or Metaleros. And many still have that thorn geek that makes us as we are, and probably therefore have come to know this blog.
Today I want to talk about a group, which in my humble opinion, deserves my admiration and respect, because hell, he has earned it! Plain and simple.
His name is El Reno Renardo. A group created by THE Jevo that makes a kind of music he calls the Freak Metal.
But what is admirable in this group are 2 things:
- The songs, at least so far, have been created, mixed and assembled by the creator of the whole shebang: opossums, aka Jevo.
- Its 2 discs can be downloaded free of charge on its Website.
The funny part of the case, the aforementioned opossum esque he was requested to sing at parties and concerts several villages, and it had to recruit his old companions in the group Valhalla (which more than one will know).
Surely they know by "Camino Moria" version of "Camino Soria" de Gabinete Caligari, who like many others covered songs do not forget a touch of hilarity. But the singer does not live versions, and the Reno Renardo has a few other songs themselves are masterpieces, as I grew up in the 80s.
Recalling the past summer I must say ... the first of its concerts was held in past festivals Barrio de Arana, in Gasteiz (Vitoria), and as expected, I missed it. Public support was amazing.
